Customer notes in Rekaz: write, save, edit and delete

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Use a note for information a colleague should find when reviewing the customer’s record. Include enough context to make the information useful later. “Prefers appointments after 4 pm; confirm a suitable time before booking” is clearer than “afternoon”, and does not suggest that a booking already exists.

Customers → open customer → Notes

Create Note

Open the intended customer, then use Create Note in the Notes section. The dialog belongs to that customer; it has no customer selector. Check the record before writing if you have been moving between several customers.

No Notes means this section has no notes. It does not mean the customer has no bookings, orders or attachments.

Notes

Write the information you want to keep with this customer. Use short paragraphs when several points belong together, and state what was agreed rather than recording a vague fragment. The editor requires content; submitting an empty note shows This field is required.

A note records information. A task has a responsible user and can have a deadline. Writing “call tomorrow” here does not create or assign a task, so use the task form when someone needs to carry out follow-up work.

Formatting toolbar

The toolbar offers bold, italic, strikethrough, headings, lists, links, text colors and images. Select the text you want to change before applying formatting. Use emphasis sparingly so the key detail remains easy to find.

The separate note-formatting reference explains each icon and the inputs inside the link, color and image panels. Formatting changes the current draft; Submit saves the note.

Submit

Review the wording, then submit. Wait for the dialog to close and check the note in the customer’s list. Selecting text or applying a color is not a saved note.

When checking a saved change, reopen the note and let its content load before comparing it with your edit.

Note, Date, Created By and Actions

The row shows the note, its creation date and its creator. These are separate from appointment dates mentioned in the text. Date and Created By are information about the note, not editable inputs in its form.

If the table is wider than the card, scroll horizontally to read the remaining columns or reach Actions. Read the intended note before opening its menu.

Actions → Edit

Edit opens the selected note’s existing content. Change the wording and Submit to update that note. Use Create Note when you want an additional entry rather than replacing the earlier wording.

For example, correct “after 4 pm” to “after 5 pm” when the original entry was wrong. If a later conversation changed the preference, include that context so a colleague can understand why the information changed.

Actions → Delete → Delete / Cancel

Delete opens a confirmation. The confirmation names Notes as a category; it does not repeat the full note text. Verify the row before opening it, and use Cancel if you are unsure which note you selected.

Confirming removes that note from the list. It does not mark a task complete or change a booking’s status.

Cancel / Close

Cancel or Close leaves the editor without submitting its current text changes. If you only opened an existing note to read it, cancel when finished.
