How are package-session commissions calculated, and how do you set a booking rate in Rekaz?

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Commission is calculated per reservation and provider share, rather than simply on the package sale as one payment. Package bookings use the provider’s share of the original service price. A covered session can therefore earn commission even when Paid Amount on that booking is zero. You can set a rate for a particular booking in Commissions by Reservation. Filtering by customer does not create an automatic rate for all their bookings or for customers referred by a trainer.

The report separates the provider’s default rate in the summary from a custom rate on an individual booking. The first example is a package-covered session with an original service price of 100 SAR including 15% VAT and a 7% rate. A separate ordinary booking priced at 50 SAR then demonstrates a 20% booking override and how to remove it.

Before you start

Rekaz dashboard → Reports → Commissions Reports.

  • Open the correct business and branch. You need access to financial values and permission to manage providers to edit rates. Have the order number, customer and reservation date ready.

  • Choose a range containing the session date, which can differ from the package purchase payment date. The historical example uses Since beginning to include a completed package session on 15 April 2026.

  • Check the customer, service, provider and booking row before changing a rate. Do not edit the upper summary’s rate field when you intend an exception for just one booking.

1. Show package bookings for the relevant period

Open Reports → Commissions Reports. Choose a range that includes the session, such as Since beginning for this example, and select Exclude VAT. Open Filters, set Order Type to Package and select Show Results. You can use the provider search to make the summary easier to read.

2. Read commission on the covered session

Under Commissions by Reservation, find the intended package session. Check the service, provider, service share and rate. The example shows Service value per provider of 86.96, a 7% rate and 6.09 SAR commission, with Paid Amount of zero on the booking. This is the covered session’s commission, not a new payment for the package purchase.

3. Compare VAT on the same session

Select Include VAT while retaining the same range, filters and session. The example’s base becomes 100.00 SAR and commission becomes 7.00, while the rate remains 7% and Paid Amount stays zero. Return to Exclude VAT before the next override example.

4. Enter a custom rate on the intended booking

For the separate override example, choose the customer’s booking period and open Filters. Select Customer and return Order Type to All types if you also want ordinary bookings, then show results. In the intended row under Commissions by Reservation, enter 20 in Commission Rate. This example is an ordinary 50 SAR booking with an excluded-VAT base of 43.48 and a default 7% rate. Leave the summary’s default rate untouched.

5. Save and verify the scope of the override

Select the green check mark, Save, beside the field and wait for the report to update. The example now has a custom 20% rate and 8.70 SAR commission, while the provider default in the summary remains 7%. Select Custom rates to review exception rows, checking the order, service and customer before relying on the result.

6. Remove the override to return to the default

When you want to remove the exception, select All, delete the complete number from the booking’s Commission Rate field and select Save. In the example the rate returns to 7% and commission to 3.04 SAR. Do not enter zero to request the default: zero is an explicit rate that produces zero commission.

You can explain the package session’s commission base and VAT comparison, verify a saved booking-specific rate while preserving the provider default, and remove the exception when needed.

Calculation: Service value per provider × Commission Rate ÷ 100, with the rounding shown in the report. In the package example excluding VAT, 86.96 × 7% rounds to 6.09 SAR. Including VAT, 100 × 7% is 7.00 SAR. Use your actual row values; the example does not prescribe a tax or commission rate for every business.

Selling a package and using its sessions are separate events. Do not divide the package purchase price by its visit count and assume that is this report’s commission base. Package and gift bookings use the provider’s share of the original service price. Review each service session rather than adding commission on the entire package purchase and counting it again on sessions.

Provider sales and Paid Amount do not always equal the commission base. Both are zero on the illustrated covered session, while the excluded-VAT base is 86.96. No new collection is recorded on that covered booking; this does not show that the original package purchase was free.

When does a session appear? The report describes fully paid reservations that are confirmed and started, or marked Done. Check status, appointment time, payment and filters when a session is missing; a Pending booking is different from a completed one. One order may contain several reservations with different statuses, so its number alone does not establish each session’s eligibility.

Exclude VAT and Include VAT change the report’s commission calculation; they do not record a payment or edit the customer’s invoice. Use the same mode when comparing periods or exporting. The report states that partially refunded reservations count on the remaining amount; recheck the row after a refund instead of relying on an earlier result.

For multiple providers on one booking, check each provider’s share and corresponding rate. Do not multiply the entire service price by every provider’s rate without referring to the share displayed in the report.

The rate in Provider commission summary is different from the field in Commissions by Reservation. In the example, the default stays at 7% while the selected customer booking becomes 20%. The summary’s total can change because of that booking even though the default rate field is unchanged.

For a customer referred by a trainer, use the Customer filter to locate the relevant bookings and apply the agreed exception to the intended rows. The filter only narrows results. This path has no automatic referral-source rule setting a permanent customer rate; do not assume a single booking override applies to future bookings.

Saving is explicit: typing a rate does not change the stored commission. Select the green check mark, Save, or press Enter, then wait for recalculation. Cancel discards an unsaved edit. The input accepts a percentage from 0 to 100; entering 101 disabled Save in the checked example.

Zero and blank are different. Saving 0 creates an explicit zero-rate override and zero commission for that booking. To remove the override, delete the entire number and save; the booking returns to the provider default. Typing 7 over 20 saves a 7% exception rather than removing the exception.

Custom rates shows bookings with an override. Removing an override can make a row disappear from that view; it does not delete the reservation. Select All to see every row matching the other filters.

Use Search for a provider to make the summary easier to read, and report filters to select reservations. Searching the summary or changing a view is not a change to the customer’s commission agreement. Before exporting, check the date range, customer, order type and VAT mode.
