Find tasks in Rekaz: text, customer, staff and date filters

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Start with the question you want the task list to answer: work for a particular customer, work assigned to a colleague, or work due during a period. Combine filters only when you need all those conditions. The chips below the search controls show what currently restricts the list.

Tasks → search controls / Filter

The task: search

Enter words from the task description to narrow the list. Check the search chip after the results update. This searches the instruction text; use Customer when you want the work associated with a person.

If No Tasks appears while conditions are active, no task matches that combination. The empty-state wording does not prove that the customer has no tasks outside those filters.

Customer: filter

Find and select a customer to view tasks associated with that record. All removes the customer restriction. Selecting a customer here changes the list, not the customer attached to any saved task.

Assign to User: filter

Select the user whose assigned work you want to see. Use All to leave the assignee unrestricted. This control filters existing tasks; it does not assign them to the selected person.

Filter

Open the panel for creation dates, deadline dates and Created By. The number on Filter counts active conditions, including search controls outside this panel. It is not the number of matching tasks.

Creation date, deadline and creator filters

Creation date, deadline and creator filters

Date

This range refers to when tasks were created. Choose the beginning and end of the period and review both dates shown in the field. It does not mean the date the customer was created or the day the task should be finished.

For example, to review work your team added this week, use Date. To review work due this week even if it was added earlier, use Deadline Date instead.

Deadline Date: range

Choose the period in which tasks should be due. Keep this separate from Date unless you deliberately want both conditions—for example, tasks created this month and due this week.

Both range controls provide month/year selectors and previous/next arrows. The clear icon beside a selected range removes that range. Check the displayed endpoints before applying.

Created By

Search for the user who originally added the task. This can be a different person from the assignee: a manager may create work for a colleague. All leaves the creator unrestricted.

If you combine creator and assignee filters, check that you really mean work created by the first person and assigned to the second. Choosing the same name in both can hide work that others assigned to that colleague.

Show Results

Apply the panel’s current choices to the list. Review the resulting chips alongside the task-text, customer and assignee filters. If the combination is too restrictive, remove the condition you no longer need.

Reset

Reset clears the panel’s creation-date, deadline-date and creator conditions. It does not clear the task-text search above the list. Check the remaining chips rather than assuming the whole list is now unrestricted.

Remove a chip / Clear all

Use the × on a condition chip to remove just that condition. Clear all removes the list’s search and filters together. Neither action deletes tasks. If you want to keep a customer selected, remove only the unwanted condition instead of clearing everything.

Close

Close the panel to leave without applying its draft choices. Use Show Results when you want those choices to affect the task list.
