Rekaz services: gift purchase and claim expiry
Gift Settings controls whether someone can buy this service for another person and how long the recipient has to claim it after it is sent. This is separate from how far into the future appointments can be booked.

Make this service giftable
Enable this when customers may purchase the service as a gift for someone else. The expiry controls appear below it. Decide whether gifting suits the service and the instructions you give its recipient.
Turning gifting off and on retains an entered custom expiry. Check it before saving; do not assume re-enabling gifting returns it to Never.
Gift expires after (days)
Choose 30, 60 or 90 days, Never, or Custom. The number describes the time the recipient has to claim the gift after it is sent. Never removes this expiry rather than setting it to zero days.
For example, a 30-day gift window asks the recipient to claim the gift within that window. It does not mean every appointment date in the next 30 days is available. Specialist schedules and booking settings still determine which appointments can be offered.

Gift expiry choices
Custom: number of days
Choose Custom when the preset periods do not fit your offer. Enter a positive whole number of days, such as 45. Ordinary typing is limited to three digits.
Switching from a preset to Custom can keep the preset number. If you select 30 days and then Custom, replace the displayed 30 if you intend 45. Selecting Custom alone does not establish a new duration.

Correcting an invalid expiry
Zero is rejected when creating the service. Enter the intended positive number, or select Never if the gift should not expire.
After changing a number, leave the field and check what it displays. Clearing a numeric box can restore the previous value; an empty-looking box while editing is not enough to confirm the setting has been cleared.

Zero is not a valid gift expiry
Gift expiry versus advance booking
These settings answer different questions. Gift expiry asks “How long does the recipient have to claim the gift?” The maximum advance booking period asks “How far ahead can they see available appointments?”
A gift can have a 45-day claim window while the service shows appointments for only the coming seven days. Review both settings when describing the offer, so recipients do not mistake the claim window for a promise of appointment availability.
