Service discounts in Rekaz: final price and dates

A direct discount keeps the original amount and adds a lower price beside it. Decide the price the customer should pay before entering the discount; this field asks for that final price, not the saving.

Add Discount

This opens Price after discount beneath the original amount. Keep the original price in Amount and put the reduced price in the new field. Adding the controls is still part of the service draft.

For an original price of SAR 150 and a saving of SAR 30, enter 120. Entering 30 would mean a final price of SAR 30, not a SAR 30 reduction. This is also not a percentage field: 20 means a price of 20, not 20% off.

The discounted amount must be lower than the original amount. Entering 150 when the original price is also 150 produces an error. Check the original price too if you later change it; the two values must still make sense together.

Current price

The price summary shows the original amount crossed out beside the lower amount. Use it as a quick check of the values you entered: 150 crossed out beside 120 matches a SAR 30 reduction.

This preview belongs to the form. It is not confirmation that you have finished creating or saving the service.

Schedule Discount?

Open this control when the lower price is intended for a particular period. It reveals start and end date selectors without changing the reduced amount you entered.

Choose dates that match the offer you intend to run. Do not type the number of days into the price field: the price and its period are separate settings.

Discount Valid From / Discount Valid Until

Select the start and end from the calendars. The start must come before the end. If you choose September 17 as the start and September 16 as the end, Next shows a date-order error; changing the end to September 18 resolves that conflict.

The arrows in the calendar move between months. Read the month and year as well as the day before choosing a date, especially when the calendar also shows days from an adjacent month.

This removes the date restriction from the draft while keeping the discounted amount. Review whether you still intend to offer the reduced price after removing its period.

Use the × at the edge of the whole discount box when you intend to remove the discount itself. The two removal controls have different effects.

Check the original amount after removal. Removing a discount does not replace that original amount with the reduced price.
