Service pricing in Rekaz: deposit and SKU

Use Customize below the price to add a deposit or an identifying code. Keep three values distinct: the original service price, any discounted price, and the deposit. Each answers a different question.

Customize → Add Deposit

Customize opens a separate window for the price you are working on. Choose Add Deposit for the payment amount, or SKU for its identifying code. The tabs share the window’s Save and Close controls.

Deposit Amount

Enter a money amount, not a percentage. For a service priced at SAR 150, a deposit of SAR 30 is entered as 30. It is separate from entering 120 as a discounted service price.

For a positive service price, the deposit must be lower than the original price. A deposit of 150 against a price of 150 is rejected, as is a higher deposit. Correct the amount before saving the window.

Fixed deposit per booking

Turn this on when you want one deposit amount for the booking even when it includes several people. The explanation in the form gives a four-person booking as an example of charging a single deposit.

With a SAR 30 deposit and this switch on, the intended deposit for that group booking is one SAR 30 amount. The switch concerns the deposit; it does not turn the service’s price into a group price or change how many people can book.

SKU

This is an identifying code for inventory and service variants. Use a code your team can recognize consistently. For example, HAIR-CUT-60 can distinguish the 60-minute haircut option from another option in your own naming system.

The code is separate from the customer-facing service name and the booking duration. Writing 60 in an SKU does not set the duration to 60 minutes; set the actual duration in its own field.

Save and the pricing badges

Save applies valid changes to the service draft and closes Customize. The deposit and SKU then appear as badges below the price, making them easier to review before continuing.

Reopen Customize to inspect the applied values. Finishing this window is not the final creation of the service; complete the remaining service steps as well.

Close / ×

Close leaves the window without applying changes made since opening it. If the draft already has a deposit of 30, changing it to 45 and choosing Close leaves the applied deposit at 30.

Use Save when you want the new value to remain in the draft. Switching between the tabs is not a substitute for saving.
