Fees in Rekaz: names, amounts and how a fee is applied

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Define an additional fee using a fixed money amount or a percentage. For a fixed fee, also decide whether the amount belongs to the whole order or to each item. Read the type and application method together: the same number can mean a very different charge depending on those choices.

Settings → Fees

Search

Search by the fee’s name to narrow the list. You can use the Search button or submit the search with Enter. If the fee you expect is missing, clear the search before assuming it was deleted.

The count and page controls refer to the current results. Searching does not change a fee’s name or amount.

Show

Choose 10, 25, 50 or 100 rows per page. This changes how much of the fee list is displayed at once; it does not limit how many fees exist. With only a few matching results, increasing the page size will not add more rows.

First / previous / next / last page

Use the page arrows to move through the current results. The page indicator shows your position and the total number of pages. An arrow is disabled when there is no page in that direction; when all results fit on one page, all four arrows are disabled.

New Fee

Open New Fee to prepare a new fee definition. The form starts with Fixed and Per cart selected. Enter the name and amount, and review those defaults before saving. Opening the dialog does not create a fee.

Name

Enter a clear name describing the charge, such as Preparation fee when that is what the fee represents. A blank name or spaces alone prevents saving. The same text remains when the interface language changes; this form has one name field rather than separate translated names.

Check the name again when editing the amount or changing the type. A descriptive name helps your team distinguish otherwise similar fees in the list.

Percentage / Fixed

Choose Fixed for a money amount or Percentage for a rate. The entry below the buttons changes meaning with this choice. A value of 5 can therefore mean five currency units or 5%, depending on the selected type.

Only Fixed shows Fee application. Percentage does not offer the Per cart and Per item choices in this dialog. After switching type, review the visible amount field before saving.

Amount — Fixed

Enter a money amount greater than zero. The field supports decimal entry, such as 15.50. An empty value, zero or a negative amount is not a valid fixed fee.

Review the application method before judging the resulting charge. A fee of 15.50 per order and 15.50 per item use the same input amount but can produce different totals on an order containing several items.

Amount — Percentage

Enter a percentage greater than zero and no higher than 100. Enter 5 for 5%, rather than 0.05. This is a rate, so the money amount depends on the amount to which the fee applies.

The form can show a generic required-field error even when a number is present. If that happens, check the range: 101 is rejected, for example. Re-entering the same out-of-range value will not resolve it.

Fee application — Per cart / Per item

For a fixed fee, Per cart applies the amount to the order as a whole. Per item applies the amount for each item counted for the fee. Choose the option that matches the reason for the charge.

A single order-preparation charge and a charge associated with each service represent different intentions. Do not select Per item merely because the order contains services; choose it when repeating the fee across items is what you intend.

Suppose a fixed fee is 15 and an order has three items counted for that fee. Per cart gives 15 for the order; Per item gives 3 × 15 = 45. The example isolates this fee only, without adding any other charges.

Actions → Edit

Open the intended row’s Actions menu and choose Edit. The form loads the saved name, type, value and, for a fixed fee, application method. Review all of them before saving, especially when changing between a percentage and a fixed amount.

Save

Save submits the new fee or the edits to the selected fee. Complete the name and a valid value first. If validation appears, the dialog stays open so you can correct the entry.

Review the saved name, amount and application method in the list after a successful save. The table shows a dash for the application method of a percentage fee, because the fixed-fee choices do not apply to that type.

Cancel / Close

Cancel or Close leaves the fee form without saving the current edits. For an existing fee, the saved definition remains. For a new fee, the unfinished example is not added to the list.

Actions → Delete

Delete opens a confirmation naming the fee. Read that name before deciding: the final Delete button submits the deletion, while Cancel closes the confirmation and keeps the fee. Opening the confirmation alone does not remove it.
