Prepare the text, phone number, highlights and quick links for a Google Search ad. The preview is approximate.

Headlines / Add Headline

Headlines are the short pieces of public text that introduce your offer. Write each as a separate, understandable message. This Google Search form requires at least 8 completed headlines and allows up to 15, with no more than 30 characters in each. Adding an empty row does not satisfy the requirement.

Use the available headlines to communicate different useful facts: what the service is, where it is available, and what the visitor can do next. Repeating the same phrase with minor changes fills the form without giving the reader more information. Keep each claim accurate and consistent with the destination page.

For a salon advertising appointments, “Book Your Next Haircut”, “Hair Services in Riyadh” and “Choose Your Appointment” express different useful ideas. They are examples of wording, not a complete set: this form still needs at least eight completed headlines, and every statement must match the service and destination.

Descriptions / Add Description

Descriptions give you more room to explain the service and what happens after the visitor clicks. Supply 2 to 4 descriptions, each no longer than 90 characters. They are separate from headlines and from the short description lines inside a quick link.

Use this space to answer a useful question that a headline cannot: what can the visitor compare, select or book on the destination page? Avoid adding a price, offer or availability claim unless it is current and supported by that page.

Choose a country

Choose the country associated with the phone number you are entering. This control belongs to the contact-number field; it is not the campaign’s geographic targeting setting. If a valid business number is rejected, check this selection and the number format together.

Phone Number

Enter the business number that customers should call from the advertisement. The page describes a call button using this number, and the number is required in this Search Ad form. Use the format appropriate to the selected country.

Choose the contact that is actually prepared to handle the enquiries generated by this campaign. Check the digits carefully rather than relying on the field accepting them: a correctly formatted number can still belong to the wrong branch or person.

Highlights

Highlights are brief supporting facts about your service or business. Add 3 to 6 phrases, each up to 25 characters, either by entering your own wording or selecting a suggestion.

Each phrase should earn its place by telling the visitor something concrete. “Online Booking” is useful when the destination really supports it. A suggested phrase about a benefit you do not provide should be removed, even if the form accepts it.

Quick Links / Add sitelink

Quick links give visitors additional routes to relevant pages from the ad. The form requires 2 to 6 completed links. Each has its own clickable text, destination URL and two description lines.

Choose pages that serve distinct needs rather than creating several labels for the same experience. For a salon, a service menu and a booking page may serve different purposes if both pages exist. Complete the editor and use Add to place the link in the list; opening the editor alone does not create it. Cancel discards that open entry.

Quick-link text

Write the label the visitor will click, using no more than 25 characters. The label should make the destination predictable. “Service Menu” should open the menu, while a booking label should lead to a page that lets the visitor proceed with booking.

Link URL

Enter the complete public address, beginning with http:// or https://, or choose a displayed page suggestion. This address belongs to the individual quick link, so check it independently of the campaign’s main destination.

Review the text and address as a pair. A link labelled “Book an appointment” that opens an unrelated information page creates an extra obstacle for the visitor. Selecting a suggested address is a convenience, not a substitute for checking where it leads.

Description line 1

Use the first line to explain what the visitor will find through this particular link. It is required in the quick-link editor and allows up to 35 characters. It does not replace a main ad description.

Description line 2

The second line is also required and allows up to 35 characters. Add information that complements the first line instead of repeating the link label. Read the label and both lines together to make sure they describe one consistent destination.

Ad Preview / Creative Quality

Use Ad Preview to read the parts of the advertisement together: headlines, descriptions and destination. The page states that it is an approximation and the actual appearance may vary.

Creative Quality is feedback to review while completing the content. It does not establish that every claim is accurate or that the campaign will perform well. You still need to check the wording, contact number and destination yourself before proceeding.

Generate

Generate requests suggestions for the section beside that button, such as headlines or quick links. Treat the result as a starting draft that you need to edit.

Check suggestions against what the business actually offers. Remove an invented price, unavailable benefit or incorrect destination, and avoid repeating the same idea across every field. The final wording should be something you would be comfortable explaining to a customer who acted on it.
