Track an extra service with its own subscription end date in Rekaz

Last updated: September 15, 2026

When an existing subscriber needs an extra service with a different duration, record that service as a separate subscription for the same customer. It receives its own dates, amount and status. The existing-subscription edit form does not provide a control to add a new service, and the paid add-on form has no independent expiry-date field. Use a separate subscription when you need that date to be visible.

The example is Extra care — 7 days at 70 SAR. Starting on September 15, 2026 produces September 21, 2026 as the displayed end date. The original subscription remains a separate record: this procedure does not merge the additional service into it or change its expiry. The example uses Pay Later to distinguish recording the service from collecting its price.

Before you start

Start with the additional service under Services, then create a new subscription for the existing customer.

  • You need access to manage services and create customer subscriptions. Identify the existing customer and review their original subscription before recording extra entitlement.

  • Agree the extra service, duration, price and branch. Use a Subscription service for a timed entitlement. Writing “7 days” in its name does not configure its duration.

  • Reuse an appropriate existing service when its duration and price already match. Do not change a shared service definition for one customer’s special arrangement; create a separate definition when needed.

1. Review the service and its duration

Under Services, open the additional service with Type Subscription. Review Subscription Name, Amount and Subscription Duration. The example is 70 SAR and 7 Day. If no suitable service exists, select New Service and Subscription and enter these details; the service name alone does not configure its duration.

2. Save and check the service

Save an existing definition with Update Service. For a new service, select Next, complete Subscription Settings and select Create. Return to Services and check its name, type and price. For staff-only use, choose Actions, Set as Internal and Confirm. The example is Internal at 70 SAR weekly.

3. Create a subscription for the existing customer

Under Orders, open Subscriptions and select Create Subscription. In Customer, select the existing customer record. In Subscription, choose only the additional service. Do not create a duplicate customer or add the original subscription to this operation. Select Next.

4. Choose the start and check the end

In Configuration, choose Start Date and check the calculated End Date. In the example, 2026-09-15 produces 2026-09-21. Leave Customize off for the standard duration, choose Branch and select Next.

Choose the start and check the end — End Date

5. Review the price and payment method

Check Order total and Tax Amount. This example uses Pay Later under Payment: the screen explains that the subscription stays pending payment. After checking the customer, service, dates and amount, select Create once and wait for the result.

6. Verify the saved end date

Close the success screen and return to Subscriptions. Search for the customer and check the service name, Subscription Status and Start & End Date. Scroll the table horizontally if needed. The example shows September 15–21 and Pending Payment for the extra service.

7. Check the extra service order

Select the price in the subscription row to open its order. Under Order details, check the service and dates, then review Order totals and Payment. The example has a 70 SAR total, zero Paid Amount, 70 SAR Remaining Amount and no payment transactions. Handle payment for this order as agreed, keeping its Due Date distinct from the service end date.

Result

The customer has a separate subscription for the extra service, with visible start and end dates and a linked order. With Pay Later, its status remains Pending Payment.

Paid Add-ons in the service definition provide a name, amount, image and website visibility. They have no independent expiry-date field. A named, priced add-on alone does not provide a separately tracked validity period.

Subscription Duration in the service definition is distinct from End Date on the customer subscription. Check the number and unit together: the example is 7 Day, not seven months.

The service list may display weekly for seven days. Check the configured duration and then the saved subscription dates. The price label does not mean the additional order has been merged with the original subscription.

Customize beside End Date enables a different end date for this subscription. Leave it off for the calculated duration. If you agree another end date, enable it and review both dates and the order total; do not assume changing a date automatically changes the price.

The extra service’s end date is independent of the original subscription. If both must end together, explicitly choose and verify that date in the two records instead of assuming it is copied from the other subscription.

Pay Later does not make the service free or active. In the example, 70 SAR remains due, zero is paid, and the subscription is Pending Payment. Check its status again after completing the appropriate collection.

Due Date on the order concerns payment, not the service’s expiry. The example order is due September 15 while the subscription ends September 21. Use Start & End Date to track the service period.

If the service is missing from the picker, check its type, name and status. The Internal service was selectable in the dashboard flow shown here. Also review its available branch.

If the record is not immediately visible after saving, search the customer and check All or Pending Payment and any filters before creating another. Scroll the table horizontally if the dates or price are offscreen.

Open the order through this subscription’s price when reviewing payment. Do not accidentally record the extra service’s payment against the original subscription order. Keep its order number and service name for follow-up.

This procedure tracks an additional timed service separately. For extra visits inside a purchased package, or changes to the original subscription entitlement itself, establish the appropriate route with Rekaz support. A separate subscription does not add visits to a package balance.
