Reorder customer custom fields in Rekaz

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Open Settings → Custom Fields and use the dotted Reorder handle beside a field. With the keyboard, press Space, use the Up or Down arrow, then press Space again to drop the field. The new order saves automatically.

This procedure covers additional customer fields managed under Custom Fields. The example moves City before District and checks the customer form. Standard fields such as the customer name and mobile number are outside the reorderable list shown here.

Before you start

Sign in to your Rekaz dashboard and open Settings. This example uses two existing customer fields: District and City.

  • Have at least two customer custom fields in Custom Fields. If the list is empty, add the fields you need using New Custom Field first.

1. Open Custom Fields

From Settings, select Custom Fields. Check that the fields you want to reorder have Customer as their Model.

Open Custom Fields — Custom Fields

2. Move the field

Focus the dotted Reorder handle in the City row. Press Space to pick up the field, then the Up arrow to move it before District. Allow it to move, then press Space again to drop it. Use the Down arrow to move a field in the other direction.

3. Check the saved order

Allow the update to finish, then reload the page. Confirm that City is still before District. This list has no separate Save button for reordering.

4. Check the customer form

Open Customers, select a customer, and choose Actions → Edit. Find Custom Fields and check the order. The example shows City before District. If you only opened the form to check, select Cancel without changing the customer’s details.

Result

City appears before District in the field list and under Custom Fields in Edit Customer. The order remains after a page reload.

Use the dotted handle to reorder. Selecting the field name opens its editor, which is a different action.

With the keyboard, allow the field to move after each arrow press, then press Space to drop it. If the original order returns after reloading, repeat the move and make sure you complete the drop.

You do not need to delete and recreate a field to change its position. Use the Reorder handle on the existing field.

Field order, Required and website visibility are separate settings. Reordering does not enable Required or publish the field on the website. Both example fields are optional and unpublished on the website, and still appear in the dashboard customer form.

Customers Template is a separate Settings page. If you are working inside a template such as vehicle or child details, this procedure applies to the customer Custom Fields list rather than template fields.

The customer form may arrange fields side by side depending on screen width and language direction. In the English screenshot, City is first on the left, followed by District.
