Can you turn a purchased subscription into a gift card in Rekaz?
The current subscription Actions menu has no option to convert a purchased subscription into a gift card. Transfer Subscription asks you to select another customer. New Gift starts from giftable services or gift cards; it does not select a customer’s previous subscription for conversion.
If you created a subscription and now want it presented as a gift, first distinguish transferring its entitlement to another person, issuing a new gift and obtaining a subscription ID card. They serve different purposes. Inspect these controls before cancelling the subscription or issuing a replacement.
Before you start
Rekaz dashboard → Orders → Subscriptions; then Orders → Gifts for comparison.
Open the correct business with access to subscriptions and gifts. Have the customer name or subscription number ready and check the intended record.
The example is an Active, paid annual subscription. Available actions depend on the record’s status and account permissions; a missing action in another state does not mean conversion occurred.
This procedure inspects the options. Do not select a transfer customer, press Confirm subscription transfer or proceed with buying a gift during the check.
1. Review the purchased subscription
Open Orders → Subscriptions. Search by customer or subscription number, or use Active for this example. Review the service name, subscription status, start date and end date. Open Actions on that record: options include editing, renewal and transfer, with no gift-card conversion action.

2. Understand subscription transfer
Choose Actions → Transfer Subscription. The form shows Current customer, Customer to transfer the subscription to, and the service and dates. It selects another customer for the subscription rather than creating a greeting or gift card. Leave the selection empty and choose Cancel without confirming a transfer.

3. Compare this with a new subscription gift
Open Orders → Gifts → New Gift. In Service Selection, choose Subscriptions. This lists giftable services rather than a customer’s previous subscriptions. The example has no giftable subscription service; read the setup guidance without creating or selecting anything for this inspection.

4. Distinguish gift cards and close the inspection
In the same window, choose Gift Cards. It lists catalogue cards and prices, with no previous-subscription selector for conversion. Do not select a card or press Continue. Use the top Close button, return to Subscriptions and confirm that the record and status are unchanged.

Result
You understand the available options and close the forms without transferring a subscription or creating a gift, order or payment.
A purchased subscription is a customer record with dates, status and a related order. A service in the gift catalogue is an offer from which a new gift can begin. The same service name in both places does not make them the same record.
Transfer Subscription shows Current customer and Customer to transfer the subscription to. The second field selects the person who will receive the subscription; it is not a greeting or a gift-card amount. Leave it empty and choose Cancel to keep the record unchanged. Do not perform a transfer just to test the gift presentation.
Print as ID in the Actions menu concerns the subscription’s ID card. The presence of a card-printing option does not make it gift-card issuance. Edit Subscription and Renew Subscription are also separate from converting the record to a gift.
No giftable services found in New Gift → Subscriptions refers to the giftable service catalogue, not the customer’s purchased subscriptions. The on-screen instruction points to Make Service Giftable under the service’s Advanced Settings. Enabling a service for gifting does not convert a previous customer purchase into a gift.
Subscriptions and Gift Cards are separate categories within New Gift. The former contains giftable subscription services; the latter lists gift cards and their prices. Do not assume that remaining subscription days become spending credit or that choosing a card draws value from the existing subscription.
New Gift starts a separate transaction. Do not assume that it cancels the current subscription, refunds its payment, transfers its duration or automatically applies its value to the gift. Issuing a replacement before resolving the original subscription can leave two entitlements.
For a partly used, paused or renewed subscription, review its status, dates, usage and related order before agreeing on a replacement. Do not invent a cash value for remaining days or promise an automatic refund or revised entitlement period.
For a subscription already purchased, prepare its number, order, amount paid, previous use and intended recipient. Clarify whether the customer wants a transfer or a separate gift, then review the case with your business administrator or Rekaz support before cancellation or another purchase. Do not assume automatic conversion or a guaranteed support-operated workaround.
