Conditional questions and a combined-choice alternative in Rekaz
The current custom-question settings do not provide a rule such as “if Child is selected, disable the weights area in the next question.” Questions display their choices independently. If you have a small number of acceptable combinations, combine both answers into one List Field and enter only those combinations. This organizes the choices; it does not automatically verify age or eligibility.
For example, replace separate age-group and activity questions with Age group and activity, using choices such as Child — children’s activities and Adult — weights area. The list will not offer Child — weights area. Selection still depends on what the person enters: it does not prevent someone choosing a description that is untrue.
Before you start
Open the intended service under Services in Rekaz, then Advanced Settings.
Use an account that can edit the service. Identify the correct service: its questions are different from general customer-profile fields.
Define acceptable combinations according to your business rules and prepare clear labels and translations. These examples illustrate the list structure; the service name shown in the pictures is an example.
Review existing questions before changing them, especially when earlier orders already contain answers.
1. Open the service questions
Under Services, open the intended service, then Advanced Settings → Custom Fields. Select Add Custom Field. If you already have a combined question, open its pencil icon to edit it instead of adding a duplicate.

2. Choose a single-selection list
Select List Field to allow one combination. Do not choose Multi Select when the answer must contain only one combination. For an existing list question, open its settings directly.

3. Explain the question and set its visibility
Enter a Question Title such as Age group and activity, and a Placeholder such as Choose one suitable combination. Turn on Is required? when an answer is required. Keep Show in website? on if you want the question in the website form. Leave Customize Amounts off when collecting information without extra pricing.

4. Enter acceptable combinations
Enter the first complete option, such as Child — children’s activities. Select Add New Option and enter Adult — weights area. Do not add an unacceptable combination. Check each option’s language and enter its translation in the same row when needed.

5. Save the question and service
Select Add for a new question or Save when editing one. Check its card and preview, then select Update Service at the top of the page. Wait for saving to finish before leaving.

6. Try the choices in a booking draft
Open Reservations → Create Reservation and choose the same service. In the Pricing step, open the list under Custom Fields and select each combination in turn, checking that one choice remains selected and the wording is correct. Close the draft if you are only testing. Also review the website form before relying on the list with customers.

Result
A saved single-selection list contains your defined combinations and appears when configuring a booking for this service.
Is required? marks a question as required. It does not create an if/then relationship or change another question’s options. Reordering questions or writing a condition in the placeholder does not create an automatic rule either.
List Field allows one selection. Do not use Multi Select for this alternative when the person must choose one combination, because it allows multiple answers.
Question Title states what you need, such as Age group and activity. Placeholder gives guidance, such as Choose one suitable combination. It is not a list option or a stored answer replacing the user’s selection.
Enter each complete combination as a separate option. Include only acceptable combinations. Do not put separate ages and separate activities into the same list, because that loses the intended pairing.
If the combinations become numerous, consider simplifying the form or separating services to match your business. The combined list does not update automatically when another answer changes. Update its options manually when your rules change.
Translate the title, placeholder and each option through their own language selectors. Both translations of an option belong in the same row, not as separate choices. Switching the dashboard language does not write translations.
Show in website? controls whether the website form requests this question. It is not an age rule or a privacy guarantee for previously stored answers. The example leaves it on so the question is included in the customer form.
Leave Customize Amounts off when the choices only collect information. Additional amounts concern option pricing, not disabling an option based on another answer.
Select Add for a new question or Save for an existing one, then Update Service. Closing the dialog or seeing the preview does not replace saving the service.
The service-editor preview helps you check the heading and appearance. Try the real dropdown in a staff booking draft too, and review the website form before using it with customers. Advancing a staff step does not establish that every customer-form check has passed.
Selecting Adult — weights area does not prove age, book a different resource or enforce an admission policy through the option text. Review your business requirements separately before confirming a service when needed.
If you need two separate questions to depend on each other, do not assume Required or placeholder wording will enforce that condition. Define the requirement before adopting the form and retain any operating checks that need human review.
