Start with the appointment you actually sell: what the customer receives, what it costs and how much time it needs. This reference follows a salon’s Service Reservation form. Entering these details is the first step; the service still needs its specialists, schedules and remaining settings.

**Services → New Service → Service Reservation → Basic Info**

## Required fields in Basic Info

Name, Amount and Customize Duration are required. Next checks the step and shows an error beside a missing value. The faint 0.00 in an empty Amount field is a placeholder; it does not mean you have entered a price.

For a haircut and styling appointment priced at SAR 150 and taking one hour, enter a clear service name, 150 in Amount, and either 60 Minute or 1 Hour for duration. Check each value before moving to the specialists step.

## Name / Service Name

Write the service the customer is choosing. A name such as Haircut and styling is more useful than Special service because it identifies the work included. Keep the name short enough to distinguish it from nearby services, and put preparation details in the description.

Do not add a treatment to the name merely to make it sound more attractive. If the price covers a haircut and styling but no colour treatment, the name should preserve that distinction.

## Language selector beside the name

The flag and arrow choose which language’s name you are editing. Arabic and English can hold different text. Switch to each language and review its value; changing the platform interface language is a separate action.

A flag does not guarantee that the text underneath has been translated correctly. If the Arabic version still contains English wording, replace that value with the intended Arabic name. The other language’s preview helps you compare the two.

## Service Description

Use the description to answer the customer’s next question: what does the appointment include, and is any preparation needed? For the haircut example, state whether washing and blow-drying are included only if that is what your team provides.

This field has its own language selector. Review the description in each language separately from the name. The basic step can continue with an empty description, but a missing explanation may leave customers unsure which service to choose.

## Amount

Enter the service’s original price. A deposit and a discounted price belong in their own controls; putting a deposit here would change the original service price instead.

Read the tax note below the field when entering the amount. The illustrated form says Prices include tax. Use the note shown in your form rather than adding tax again simply because a separate tax setting exists.

## Customize Duration

Enter the time needed for this appointment, then check its unit. This is different from the specialist’s working hours: a one-hour service still needs an available specialist and an appropriate schedule in the next step.

Think about the appointment as your team delivers it. If haircut and styling together need an hour, entering only the cutting time would describe a shorter appointment than the service you are offering.

## Minute / Hour / Day

Changing the unit keeps the number you typed. If the field says 60 Minute and you choose Hour, it becomes 60 Hour; the control does not automatically replace 60 with 1.

To express the same one-hour appointment in hours, change the number to 1 as well. Read the number and the unit together before Next.

## Next / Previous

Next moves a valid basic step to Beauty Experts & Schedules. It does not finish creating the service. Previous returns to the earlier step with the draft values retained, so you can correct the name or pricing before continuing.

A completed first step does not remove requirements in later steps. For example, selecting a duration does not select a specialist for you.

## Back arrow and Unsaved Changes

The back arrow in the header leaves the creation form. If you have unsaved changes, Rekaz asks whether you want to leave. Cancel keeps you in the form; Confirm leaves without creating the unfinished service.

Saving inside Customize only applies pricing changes to this draft. You can still lose those changes by confirming that you want to leave the unfinished service.
