Compare offer activity and customer use, choose a consistent reporting period, and understand what the totals and empty results mean.

**Reports → Coupons & Promotions Report**

## What this report answers

Use this report to compare promotion usage, discounts and the revenue associated with the matching orders. It is a performance report, not the list for creating or editing offers. A promotion with no recorded usage or failed attempts may be absent even though it exists in Marketing Tools.

## Coupons

View activity grouped by coupon. This tab includes Code and Failed columns as well as usage and monetary totals. Use the code to distinguish coupons with similar names.

_Coupons and filters_

## Discounts

Compare activity for discounts. The table identifies each discount by name; it does not include the coupon-code and failed-attempt columns. This filter does not activate or deactivate a discount.

## Last-Minute Deals

Review the last-minute promotion category separately from ordinary discounts. A blank result means there is no matching recorded activity; it does not establish whether a last-minute offer has been configured.

## By Customer

Group promotion activity by customer across the promotion types. Use this view when your question is which customers used offers, rather than which offer performed best. The customer count refers to matching customers, not the size of your full customer directory.

## Changing tabs clears the current scope

Switching tabs clears the search and dates and restores page one with 25 rows per page. When comparing two promotion types for the same week, choose the second tab first, then select that week again. Otherwise you would compare different periods.

## Search by coupon code or name

On the three promotion tabs, enter a distinctive part of the code or name. Results update shortly after you stop typing; there is no separate Search button. Search works together with the selected dates. Clear the text to remove only the search restriction.

## Search for a customer

On By Customer, search by customer name or mobile number. This box searches the customer breakdown, not coupon names. Wait for the report to finish updating before exporting.

## Pick a date range

Select the period you want to analyse. This date picker uses calendars rather than Today or This month presets. With no dates selected, no date restriction is applied. The period relates to promotion usage or failed-attempt dates, not the promotion’s expiry date.

_Pick a date range_

## Choose the first day

Click a day in the calendar. The report immediately selects that day as both ends of a one-day range. There is no Apply button and closing the calendar does not cancel the selection. For a single-day report, check that the same date appears twice.

## Choose the last day

After choosing the first day, click a later day to extend the range through that day. Read both dates in the filter before interpreting the result. For example, select 1 September and then 21 September to review that inclusive period.

## Previous month

Move the calendar back one month. Moving between months changes the calendar view; click a day to change the report period.

## Next month

Move the calendar forward one month. You can use the adjacent calendar to complete a range that crosses a month boundary.

## Month list

Use the month list above either calendar to jump to the intended month. Choose the year too when reviewing an older campaign; a month name alone does not identify the reporting period.

## Year list

Choose the calendar year, then the month and day. The list offers years before and after the current year; selecting a future date does not create a future promotion or schedule an export.

## Clear dates — ×

Use the small × beside the selected range to remove both dates while keeping the tab and search. The report returns to the first page. This is different from switching tabs, which also clears the search and restores the default page size.

## Close the calendar

Press Escape or click outside the calendar. The selected dates remain applied. To undo a selected period, clear it with × or choose another range.

## Top Customer

The leading customer is chosen by the revenue associated with matching promotion orders, not by the largest number of uses or largest discount. A dash appears when there is no matching customer.

## Most Used

This card identifies the most-used coupon in the current scope. It is shown on Coupons and By Customer, but not on Discounts or Last-Minute Deals. Most used does not necessarily mean highest revenue.

## Total Discount Given

Read the total discount associated with the matching promotion orders. It is a monetary amount, not the percentage configured in the offer. Keep the same dates and search when comparing it with the detail rows or export.

## Total revenue

This is revenue associated with matching orders that used promotions. Do not interpret it as extra revenue caused by the campaign: the report does not compare those customers with a group that received no offer. It is also separate from the discount given.

## Total Usage

Count the recorded uses within the current filters. Usage is different from unique customers: one customer can use an offer more than once. Applying a code only in a cart does not by itself establish a reportable order.

## Code and Name

Read the promotion’s identifier and saved name. Code is available on the Coupons tab. These cells identify the record; edit the offer from Marketing Tools rather than trying to type into this report.

## Status

Read Active, Inactive or Expired as the promotion’s status, not the payment status of the orders beneath it. An expired promotion can still have historical usage. The status label alone is not a promise that a new customer’s order meets every offer condition.

## Usage

The first number is the recorded usage in the report scope. When a maximum usage count is displayed alongside it, do not treat the difference as guaranteed remaining availability: a date-filtered count is not necessarily the offer’s lifetime use count.

## Discount

Read the discount amount associated with this promotion or customer in the selected scope. Compare monetary amounts with monetary amounts; a larger discount total can come from more uses rather than a higher configured percentage.

## Revenue

Read the revenue associated with matching orders for this row. Use the same filters when comparing promotions. A high usage count and low revenue answer different questions and need not be contradictory.

## Customers

Count distinct customers who used the promotion within the scope. Repeated use by the same customer increases Usage without necessarily increasing Customers. A dash represents no counted customer in that cell.

## Failed

This Coupons-only column counts recorded unsuccessful attempts. It is separate from successful usage and does not mean that a payment failed. A zero count is displayed as a dash.

## Expires

Read the promotion’s expiry date. This is different from the date filter, which selects activity. A dash means no expiry date is displayed for that row.

## Sort a column

Click a heading with sorting arrows to switch between ascending and descending order. On the promotion tabs, this reorders the currently displayed page; do not assume the first row is the highest value across all pages. Customer sorting uses the matching customer results. Sorting the screen does not guarantee the same order in Excel.

## Customer

The customer row identifies who used promotions. Saved names and mobile numbers are customer data; changing the interface language does not translate those names. Do not confuse the customer list here with all registered customers.

_By Customer_

## Avg Discount

The customer’s total discount is divided by their counted uses. For example, discounts of 20 and 40 across two uses give an average of 30. This is an amount per counted use, not an average discount percentage.

## Most Used Coupon

Read the coupon code most frequently used by the customer in this scope. It is not necessarily the code used most recently. This heading is not a sorting button.

## Last Used

Read the most recent matching usage date for this customer. Changing the report period can change the displayed date or remove the customer from the result.

## Recover from an empty result

Clear search and dates and check the intended tab. Some empty states incorrectly mention creating a service; this is still the promotions report, so creating a service is not the remedy for an empty promotion search. An empty report does not prove that your business has no configured offers.

## Show: 10, 25, 50, 100

Choose how many rows appear on each page. Changing the value returns to page one. The cards and export cover the matching result, not just the visible rows. Switching report tabs restores 25.

## First page

Return to the first result page.

## Previous page

Move back one result page when available.

## Next page

Read the next group of matching rows.

## Last page

Go to the last result page. Disabled arrows mean there is no page in that direction.

## Export to Excel

Download the selected tab using its applied search and dates, across result pages. Wait for search to settle before clicking. When the result is empty, the download may contain a completely blank worksheet. With no date filter, the filename can still contain today’s date; that filename does not mean the report was restricted to today.
