# Rekaz deal stages: names, editing and list controls

Keep deal-stage names clear enough for the whole team to use consistently. This page manages the stage definitions; selecting a stage for a customer’s deal is a separate step.

**Settings → Deal Stages**

## New Deal Stage

Create a name your team can use to describe progress on a deal, such as “Consultation completed” or “Waiting for the customer’s decision”. Agree what each stage means before adding several similar names. Creating the stage defines an option; assigning it to a particular deal is a separate action.

## Name

Enter a short, recognizable description of the stage. This is one shared name, not separate Arabic and English translations. Switching the interface language leaves the entered name unchanged; replacing it with an Arabic name renames the stage itself.

A blank name or spaces alone cannot be saved. Spaces before and after the name are removed on saving. Put the meaningful words first so staff can distinguish similar stages in a list.

## Save

Save creates the new stage or applies the name change to the stage you opened. Wait for the dialog to close, then find the saved name in the list. If a search is active, a renamed stage may no longer match it: clear the search before assuming the save failed.

## Cancel / Close

Leave the form without saving its changes. When editing an existing stage, cancelling keeps its previous name. Reopening the form shows the saved name, not the discarded draft.

## Search input

Type part of the saved stage name to narrow the list. The list updates after you finish typing; the Search button can also apply the text. Search uses the entered stage names, so Arabic names can appear in the English interface.

“No data found” means there are no matching rows for the current search. Clear the text to return to all stages. The count beneath a filtered list is the number of matching results, not necessarily all stages in the account.

## Search button / Enter

Apply the current search text. Wait for the results to finish loading before opening a row. Starting a new search returns the list to its first page.

## Click a stage name / Edit

Click the stage name to open its name editor. You can also choose Edit from that row’s Actions menu. Check the name before changing it: editing the definition is different from moving one customer’s deal to another stage.

## Actions

The three-dot button belongs to its own row and offers Edit and Delete. Use the row name to confirm which stage you are acting on. If these controls are unavailable in your account, ask the person who manages your team’s access.

## Show: 10, 25, 50 or 100

Choose how many results fit on one page. Selecting 25 does not create 25 rows: a list with only four matches still shows four. Use the page indicator with the search text when checking whether more results remain.

## First page

Return to the beginning of the result list. The control is disabled when you are already on the first page.

## Previous page

Move back one page without changing the search. It is unavailable when there is no earlier page.

## Next page

Move forward one page when more results exist. On a one-page list, this button is disabled.

## Last page

Jump to the final page of the current results. It is unavailable when you are already at the end.

## Delete

Delete opens a confirmation that includes the stage name. Read it before confirming. Deleting an unused stage removes its definition from this list; it is not a way to mark a deal as completed. If your aim is to change one deal’s progress, open that deal instead.

## Confirm Delete / Cancel

Confirm Delete only for the stage you intend to remove. Cancel closes the confirmation and keeps it. If Rekaz displays an error, read the message and recheck the list before trying again; do not remove related records just to make the deletion succeed.
