# Manage home services and branch services together in Rekaz

Use clearly named home and branch service records with the appropriate provider assignments. Enable geographic coverage and area fees for a home provider; leave geographic coverage off for a branch-only provider and assign its branches. A service name alone does not control the booking flow: attaching a geographic provider to a branch service can make it request the customer’s location too.

The example uses separate home and branch providers and two 30-minute services with a 100 SAR base price. The home provider has a service area with a 20 SAR fee; the branch provider has coverage off and an explicit Default Branch assignment. This compares saved resource settings and booking entry, not a completed reservation or fee collection.

## Before you start

Settings → Beauty Experts; then Services → edit the service.

- Access to service and provider management in the correct business. Other business types may use a different provider label.

- Use genuinely separate providers for this example. Prepare their working hours, services, branches and a suitable existing geographic area to copy to the home provider.

- If a suitable provider does not exist, open Settings → Beauty Experts → Add → Add Beauty Expert. Enter its name, review the schedule start and weekly hours, add the record and open its profile. Create only resources that reflect your actual operation.

- Prepare clearly named home and branch reservation services with appropriate prices and durations. New Service → Service Reservation starts each service; assign its provider in the scheduling step.

## 1\. Configure the home provider’s coverage

Open the home provider’s profile under Beauty Experts. Enable Geographical location and coverage area and choose Draw the service area. To reuse an existing boundary, choose Copy from another provider and select the appropriate source. Inspect the boundary, then enable Delivery fee in the area and enter 20, for example, or leave fees off according to your policy. Save and reopen the profile to verify.

## 2\. Configure the branch-only provider

Open the separate branch provider’s profile. Leave Geographical location and coverage area off. Under Branch Availability, choose the intended entry in Branches. Save and reopen. This example explicitly selects the default branch instead of leaving all branches available.

## 3\. Assign the home service’s provider

Edit the home service and open Beauty Experts & Schedules. Under Choose Beauty Experts, select the appropriate home provider and review the other selections. This example selects only the home provider. Choose Update Service and reopen to check the assignment.

## 4\. Separate the branch service’s assignments

Edit the branch service and open the same section. Select only the branch provider in this example, ensuring the home provider is not selected accidentally. Choose Update Service and reopen. Do not rely on the service name alone to separate the two booking flows.

## 5\. Check the branch booking entry

In Services, open Actions → View for the published branch service. Choose Continue on its customer page. In this example, Appointment and available times appear directly. Inspect the entry without selecting a slot or submitting an order during the setup check.

## 6\. Compare the home booking entry

Open the published home service and choose Continue. It opens Service Location. A signed-out visitor sees Verify Phone Number before entering a location. For this entry check, close the prompt without sending a code; this is not a completed booking or proof of the final fee.

## Result

Separate settings are saved: the branch example opens Appointment directly, while the home service opens Service Location and requires phone verification when the customer is not signed in.

Coverage belongs to the provider, not the service name or a custom question. Renaming a service “home service” does not draw an area. Naming it “branch service” does not suppress location collection when one of its providers has geographic coverage.

In the test, adding the home provider to the branch service alongside its branch provider changed the customer entry to Service Location. Removing the home provider and saving restored Appointment. Review every selected provider, not just the first visible choice.

Branch Availability selects the branches where a provider is available; it does not draw a home-visit area. The on-screen guidance says that no selected branch means availability in all branches. Select the intended branch explicitly when the provider should work only there.

Copy from another provider reuses existing coverage settings. Choose a source suitable for your real operating area, then inspect the copied boundary and fees before Save. Do not assume another provider’s area is appropriate for every home service.

Delivery fee in an area card is an amount configured for that area, separate from the service’s base price. The example saves 20 SAR and displays Includes VAT. Leave the fee switch off when no area fee is intended; coverage and its fee are separate switches.

A saved 20 area fee alone does not establish every cart’s final amount. Check the customer location, fees, discounts and total during booking. The example base price is 100, but its customer page showed 50 alongside the previous 100 price; the base setting is not automatically the amount currently due.

Allow customer to choose Beauty Expert controls provider selection. It stayed off in this example while the home service still requested a location. It is not the location-collection switch.

If one person works both at home and in the branch, do not create parallel provider records and assume their bookings synchronize. Review scheduling, capacity and travel with your operations administrator before splitting resources. This example uses independent resources and does not prove conflict prevention across duplicate records for one person.

When appointments are missing, review working hours, branches, service duration and buffer time. Buffer Between Reservations in the provider profile represents time after a reservation, such as travel or preparation; it does not replace checking whether the visit fits the schedule.

Open each published service through its Actions → View link for comparison. A phone-verification prompt on the home service appears before location entry; it does not establish that coverage failed. Do not use another customer’s phone number to pass verification.

Before operational rollout, test a real address inside your area and another outside it in a signed-in customer session, and review appointments and final fees. Changing a provider’s coverage may affect its other assigned services; inspect those links before modifying a shared provider.

Copying coverage to a provider that already has a location prompts you to confirm replacement. Check the target record and source area before confirming. Copying is not merely a preview or a promise to append an area while preserving every previous setting. Cancel if replacement is not intended.
