# What is the difference between a Subscription and a Package in Rekaz?

Use this guide to compare the Subscription and Package options currently available in Rekaz.

  

A Package lets you select services for the package and use either a shared pool of free usages or separate limits for each service. For Subscriptions, you can set a limit on the number of active, pending payment, or starting soon subscriptions for a service.

  

# Steps

1.  Open Services from the Rekaz sidebar.
    
    _The Services page opens._
    
2.  When reviewing a Subscription configuration, verify the subscription capacity setting.
    
    _You can see the setting for the maximum number of active, pending payment, or starting soon subscriptions allowed for the service._
    
3.  When configuring a Package, select the services to include.
    
    _The package service-selection control is available._
    
4.  Review the Package usage allocation options before choosing how free usages apply to its selected services.
    
    _The interface shows Shared Pool for one free-usage pool across all services and Per Product for different limits per service._

Use Subscription when you need a recurring service with subscription duration and settings for when it starts and how many subscribers it covers.

  

Use a Package when you want to group services or sessions and define their allowed usages and validity period.
