# How do I add a custom field for customer data in Rekaz?

The current Rekaz dialog uses Submit as the final action and Show in checkout for checkout visibility.

  

Avoid collecting sensitive or unnecessary information in a custom field.

  

# Steps

1.  From the Rekaz navigation, select Settings.
    
    _The Settings page opens._
    
2.  Open Custom Fields.
    
    _The Custom Fields page opens._
    
3.  Select New Custom Field.
    
    _The New Custom Field dialog opens._
    
4.  Enter the field name under Label\*.
    
    _The field label is entered._
    
5.  Select Type and choose the correct input type.
    
    _The field type is configured._
    
6.  Select Model and choose the intended model.
    
    _The field model is configured._
    
7.  Set Required according to whether the information is mandatory.
    
    _The required status is configured._
    
8.  Set Show in checkout according to whether the field should appear during checkout.
    
    _The checkout visibility is configured._
    
9.  Review the settings and select Submit.
    
    _The custom field is submitted for creation._

**Step 2:** Open Custom Fields in Rekaz.
