# Why can’t I disable an employee account without deleting data in Rekaz?

The Rekaz interface does not show an action for disabling an existing employee account while retaining its data. Do not assume that an employee can be suspended from the Employees page or that changing setup details will disable access.

  

The nearest available access-management options are available when setting up an employee: assign roles, then define the branches and providers the invited employee can access. These options describe invitation-time access configuration, not an in-product disable action for an existing account.

  

# Steps

1.  Open the employee-management area and verify that the page heading is Employees.

2.  Review the available primary action on the Employees page. The Employees page shows Add New Employee; there is no separate Disable account action.

3.  If you are setting up a replacement employee, select Add New Employee to open the employee setup form.

4.  On the employee setup form, review role assignment: permissions are updated based on the selected roles.

5.  Review the branch-access setting to confirm that an invited employee’s access can be scoped to selected branches.

# Important limitations

  

The user edit screen does not display a separate option to disable or delete a user.

  

Do not assume that changing a password ends all active sessions. Contact Rekaz Support when immediate, complete access restriction is required.

  

Review the employee’s role Permissions while requesting support, so access is limited as much as possible.
