# How do I cancel a reservation in Rekaz?

The current Rekaz cancellation workflow is handled through Edit Reservation Status. Use the correct reservation record and review the customer-notification choice before saving.

  

The cancellation dialog does not show a refund-amount control. Handle any required payment refund separately from the order or invoice workflow after confirming the cancellation policy.

  

# Steps

1.  From the sidebar, select Reservations.
    
    _The Reservations page opens._
    
2.  Locate the correct row using its Reservation Number, then open the reservation.
    
    _The selected reservation detail sheet opens._
    
3.  In the detail sheet, select Reservation Information.
    
    _The reservation status and editing controls are displayed._
    
4.  Select Edit Reservation Status.
    
    _The status editor opens._
    
5.  Open Reservation Status and choose Cancelled.
    
    _The cancellation-specific fields appear._
    
6.  Enter a clear Cancellation Reason.
    
    _The reason is recorded in the cancellation form._
    
7.  Choose whether Rekaz should send a cancellation notification to the customer.
    
    _The customer-notification preference is set._
    
8.  Review the reservation, reason, and notification choice, then select Save.
    
    _The reservation status change is submitted._
